Energy is not simply "used" by a building.  All energy entering a building becomes heat.  Buildings are like balloons.  If you heat the air inside them, they want to rise.  This works well with balloons.  Buildings, on the other hand, are not generally expected to soar in a literal sense; therefore the heat must be managed and released.
Energy within a building is affected by a very large number of variables that interact with each other in a highly complex manner.  It can be successfully managed, or controlled, by highly responsive use of information provided by perpetual monitoring.  Without in-depth understanding of the practical problems of energy systems operation in large facilities, monitoring is simply the collection of numbers.  While others address specific parts of the energy consumption picture, Energard specializes in management of the whole.
We have created Envision, an analytical system that can communicate every aspect of a building's energy consumption.  Energard offers a service whereby data can be either electronically downloaded or manually entered by Energard from utility bills, computed by Envision, and the resulting reports posted to the Web.
Our newest product, Envision Online, is an automated Web-based monitoring system which presents a 15 minute sliding demand window updated every five minutes.  Access is by password and the user can "camp" on line for continuous viewing of his building's use of electricity, fuel, or water.  This same profile can be viewed simultaneously by any authorized persons with Web access.  In addition, accumulated use profiles are immediately available for downloading to spreadsheet format.
